Affiliate disclosure

Blue Grotto Capri takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. If you book a tour through a link or a booking widget on this site, I may earn a small commission. You pay exactly what you would pay going to GetYourGuide directly.

What that means in practice

The tour links and availability widgets on this site go to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency. If you book after using one, GetYourGuide pays me a percentage of what you paid them. There is no markup at your end, no separate fee and nothing added at checkout. The links to the Ministry of Culture, to CoopCulture and to the daily open/closed banner earn me nothing at all, and I use them wherever they are the better answer.

Whether it changes what I write

Judge that against the site rather than against a promise. The page I send most people to is the one telling you to take a €2.40 bus and pay €18 at the cave, which earns me nothing and is the cheapest honest route there is. The reviews lead on the 4.3 rather than hiding it, and say plainly that one score rests on twenty-nine ratings. Every tour page on this site states that grotto entry is not included, which is the opposite of what a commission would want me to emphasise.

What the commission pays for is the time to check the fees against the regional tariff schedule and the ministry rather than copying another guide’s summary, which is the only reason the price page carries a figure most sites do not print at all.
